A walk around Buttermere with lunch by the water.

So this wasn’t a hard walk, it was really quite easy, but it was very picturesque. It is surround by such peaks as Red Pike, High Stile, High Crag, Haystacks and Buttermere Fell on it’s western shore. On it’s eastern shore are Robinson and High Snockrigg. Off to the south east is Fleetwith Pike and Honnister Pass running along side it. North west is Crummock Water.

It’s pretty short at just over 4 miles. The path on the western shore is very easily accessed, the eastern shore isn’t. The path on the eastern shore passes through a few small rock outcroppings. They are easy to negotiate, but care would be advised with small children or wet conditions. You will get over them okay, but you just need to be careful.

Other than that, no in depth description of the route on this one as it is pretty straight forward. So here are some photographs instead of my morning around Buttermere.
